I know apple trees do. So, yeah, not cold enough = no lilacs.Alwenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03200150883889857882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28900392.post-13982587893255187952007-05-09T11:25:00.000-04:002007-05-09T11:25:00.000-04:00Congrats on the end of school! We actually had our first salad cutting last night. :)

JessicaZarzuelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04301047170674108762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28900392.post-62741861111278688392007-05-08T10:50:00.000-04:002007-05-08T10:50:00.000-04:00No veggie garden for us. The few times we did plant a garden, the birds and squirrels got everything that the bugs and blossom end rot didn't. We'll probably plant hot peppers. And basil, of course. The shawl looks good. I hope you have enough yarn to finish!Teri S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12086000712017696909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28900392.post-81341443224347912462007-05-07T22:53:00.000-04:002007-05-07T22:53:00.000-04:00Just planting azaleas this year to grow into a nic...Just planting azaleas this year to grow into a nice, natural wall. Down here in the South, we have crepe myrtles instead -- I think the winters are not cold enough for lilacs (something like that?? but that sounds odd to me). I also was not at MDS&W -- just think how much better our bank accounts will look than all those other knitters, if it's any consolation. :)Chatty Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18049322758328132383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28900392.post-86415082522490297502007-05-07T10:38:00.000-04:002007-05-07T10:38:00.000-04:00Your lilacs are so pretty.
